GOT BLEACH ON YOUR SHIRT?

When I was younger, I was in the science club. I know it sounds totally nerdy but when you are in middle school and you have an awesome teacher, science becomes fun.

One day we were in the club and we decided that we wanted shirts that looked like the constellations. This became a new project for us to do. We bought a black t-shirt. Then we took bleach and put it in a spray bottle. We went outside and put out some plastic and sprayed our shirts. Now if you spray it from a distance, the bleach becomes further apart and it looks like stars in the distance. What was really neat was there were all kinds of sizes, giving the illusion of some stars being closer then others.

Now, you don't need to do this with a black shirt. And you don't really need to buy a shirt either. If you have a shirt that you got bleach on and you don't want to throw it away, try this idea out. Add bleach in a spray bottle and spray it all over the rest of the shirt. It will look like the bleach is part of the design. If you don't want a constellation look, create your own design. Bleach zigzags or a big heart on the front of your shirt. You can design it any way you want. Also depending on the shirt material, the bleach will react differently, and the end color will be different. My black shirt had orange bleach marks, which looked really cool. Others had a range of other colors on the shirts.

Once I had a top on while I was bleaching a few items and I got splashed with the bleach. As a result my simple black top turned into a polka dotted top that is orange and black.

If later you don't like the color of your bleach spots, you can bleach it again or you can always die the shirt and change the color of your new designed shirt.
