Now that it has stopped snowing, I am able to drive around and enjoy frugal shopping! The other day I went out to Davids Bridal to see what deals I could find. Davids Bridal had a sale going on that all clearance items were an extra 50% off the lowest price. This sale includes wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, purses and other accessories. I figured I would check through their selection to see what I could find. I am invited to an upcoming engagement party this weekend and a wedding this summer. Although there wasn't much of a selection left, I found the following items:

I found a really cute pair of strappy black dress sandals. I don't know why, but I don't have any dressy black shoes.

SNOW!

If you have seen the news in the past few days or if you live in the DC area you know that the weather was/is extremely bad around here. Well, on Saturday we were hit hard by the snow, and our building lost power and water.

Yesterday we got the power and water back but unfortunately the cable/Internet wasn't back yet. Basically making it difficult to post for my lovely readers. I am back for now, although we are promised more snow on Tuesday. I will keep posting unless I no longer have Internet.

I would like to know how everyone is liking the new look of the blog. I don't necessarily like it because when you scroll down the page is all white. I tried to change the color with no luck. If anyone knows how to change the background color please let me know. If I have better luck with the Internet this week I will try to fix the look of the blog.

I know that coloring books are easy to find online but I was struck by the message and effort put into this one. The US Coast Guard put together a coloring and activity book about Inky, a pygmy sperm whale. It's apparently a true story about a whale eating too much trash in the ocean, becoming sick from it and then eventually being healthy and released back into the wild. Very cute and informative.
