REG’s Free Family Film Festival is Now Showing!

We have planned a fun-filled summer of select movies for kids and parents. Regal has proudly offered this free summer fun since 1991. Oh, did we mention that it’s FREE!
Selected G or PG movies start at 10:00am every Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served and are limited to theatre capacity.

The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer. Tickets for our 2010 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show.

Cheap books

The library has books for sell that they no longer want. There is usually a shelf in a back hidden corner with all the books and dvds they want to get rid of. Check your local library to see what they have for sale. The paperback books usually run about $0.10 and the hardback books are around $0.25. Sometimes you can find movies as cheap as $1.00 There are plenty of books and movies to keep your family and you entertained for cheap!

FREE BLOCKBUSTER RENTAL FOR GOOD GRADES

I Love getting free movies to watch. You too can enjoy free movies with your child's report cards. At blockbuster, if your children have A's on their report card you can get 1 free "Kids/Family" movie rental. Make sure you enjoy your free movie as soon as report cards come out. This is only at participating locations. This is something that has been going on since I was in high school, so I would recommend someone reporting back about if it still works. When I was in high school they would pass along a sheet that would tell you all the places you get a discount or free stuff because of your good grades.

Update: A nearby blockbuster in my area says "Blockbuster supports local schools with its “Good Grades, Free Rentals” program, providing free movie and game rentals to children, grades 1-8, who maintain A and B averages."

FREE MOVIES ON TV

I am a big fan of watching lifetime. Every night at 9:00 pm there is a movie that comes on. On the weekends the movies go on throughout the whole day. Of course you don't necessarily have to watch lifetime. Any movie channel will do.

Decide on a movie to watch. When it comes on, have all the snacks you want ready and start watching when the movie starts. There are quite a few breaks that happen during the movie. Use that time as a restroom break, refills on drinks, get up and stretch, etc. You never really need to interrupt the movie. If you have tivo/Comcast DVR, you can record the movie and watch it later and skip through the commercials. Or you can watch the movie at your own time, pausing it whenever you want.

Who said cable can't be great entertainment for the whole family?
